Hi hg,

I am also new to the teaching game ... and although I have only read your first few posts, I can relate to (at least some of) what you're going through.

I'm in a small school and sometimes feel like I have no one to turn to for advice (at least no one teaching the same year-level). I have some great teachers to go to and they ARE VERY supportive, but they too are busy with the daily grind of being a professional educator, so it is difficult!

I think your blog is a great way to put down your thoughts and feelings - good on you! (I might have to do the same?!) Imagine in years to come, reading back over the posts ... you will be able to write a book from it I reckon! ;)

Hang in there and best of luck with it all,
Michael

amen for psychologists. they're like immune to distress. anyways, I don't know anyone who didn't find their first year of teaching difficult. but luckily I know a lot of teachers who end up alright. otherwise I'd be concerned ;)
